Xiwang Village Practice Project Education and Cultural Architecture

Xiwang Village Practice Project

Xiwang Village Practice Project is an architectural teaching project realized as a real building. The design was created by students aged eleven to twenty together with their tutors, and the construction was carried out with villagers and local workers. The main structure uses mortise and tenon joints, which connect the wooden parts directly. The site measures ten meters in length, ten meters in width and five point eight meters in height. The project lets classroom theories, models and plans become a finished building, so architectural education becomes more complete.

Xiwang Village Practice Project Education and Cultural Architecture by jintao li has been identified as an outstanding representation of service design by the A' Design Awards.
