Yoga House
Yoga House is a sustainable house designed as a passive solar earth shelter. The building covers 224 square meters and is made of natural and upcycled materials. Thermal mass construction and natural ventilation regulate the indoor temperature. Solar panels and wind turbines supply electricity, while rainwater is harvested and stored for long term use. An organic garden allows food to be grown on site. The mainly single story layout is freely oriented on the terrain to preserve all existing trees and to open favorable views.
Yoga House Sustainable Building by Cuneyt Dari was recognized as an outstanding illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Yoga House Sustainable Building won the Iron A' Design Award in Sustainable Products, Projects and Green Design in 2022. The A' Sustainable Products, Projects and Green Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design accolade that rewards outstanding design of sustainable projects, environment friendly designs, recycled, upcycled, bio-degradable products, Energy-Efficient appliances and more.
